fresh summer salsa!

Who doesn't love some fresh salsa?

Our garden has been producing lots of tomatoes this year!

Here is my fresh 'straight out of the garden' salsa. And guess what...
only 6 ingredients!

Tomatoes, onion, garlic, peppers, cilantro, and salt. That's it!

6-12 roma tomatoes, halved
1 onion, quartered
1 Tbsp. garlic, chopped
1 tsp. salt
some fresh cilantro
1 or 2 jalapeno peppers

Throw everything in a food processor, and pulse 4-5 times.

It is so fresh and delicious!

You can use fresh garlic, I always just use the chopped garlic from the store. No peeling!

I like using a nice amount of cilantro too.

If your tomatoes are smaller like the one on the left in the pic below, then you'll need 11 or 12.
If there bigger, like on the right, then you'll only need 6-8.

My jalapeno peppers were on the small side, so I added 2 into this batch.

It was hot!

For a mild salsa, only add 1 pepper without it's seeds.
For a medium salsa, add 1 jalapeno pepper with the seeds.
